II. 122. kin prem ki peng jhulao re
HANG UP the swing of love to-day!
Hang the body and the mind between the arms of the Beloved, in the ecstasy of love's joy:
Bring the tearful streams of the rainy clouds to your eyes, and cover your heart with the shadow of darkness:
Bring your face nearer to His ear, and speak of the deepest longings of your heart.
Kabir says: 'Listen to me, brother! bring the vision of the Beloved in your heart.'

NO MORE NOISY, loud words from me-such is my master's will. Henceforth I deal in whispers. The speech of my heart will be carried on in murmurings of a song.
Men hasten to the King's market. All the buyers and sellers are there. But I have my untimely leave in the middle of the day, in the thick of work.
Let then the flowers come out in my garden, though it is not their time; and let the midday bees strike up their lazy hum.
Full many an hour have I spent in the strife of the good and the evil, but now it is the pleasure of my playmate of the empty days to draw my heart on to him; and I know not why is this sudden call to what useless inconsequence!

ভালোবাসার মূল্য আমায় দু হাত ভরে
      যতই দেবে বেশি করে,
ততই আমার অন্তরের এই গভীর ফাঁকি
      আপনি ধরা পড়বে না কি।
তাহার চেয়ে ঋণের রাশি রিক্ত করি
      যাই-না নিয়ে শূন্য তরী।
বরং রব ক্ষুধার কাতর ভালো সেও,
      সুধার ভরা হৃদয় তোমার
            ফিরিয়ে নিয়ে চলে যেয়ো।
পাছে আমার আপন ব্যথা মিটাইতে
      ব্যথা জাগাই তোমার চিতে,
পাছে আমার আপন বোঝা লাঘব-তরে
      চাপাই বোঝা তোমার 'পরে,
পাছে আমার একলা প্রাণের ক্ষুব্ধ ডাকে
      রাত্রে তোমায় জাগিয়ে রাখে,
সেই ভয়েতেই মনের কথা কই নে খুলে।
      ভুলতে যদি পারো তবে
            সেই ভালো গো, যেয়ো ভুলে।
বিজন পথে চলেছিলেম, তুমি এলে
      মুখে আমার নয়ন মেলে।
ভেবেছিলেম বলি তোমায়, "সঙ্গে চলো,
      আমায় কিছু কথা বলো।'
হঠাৎ তোমার মুখে চেয়ে কী কারণে
      ভয় হল যে আমার মনে।
দেখেছিলেম সুপ্ত আগুন লুকিয়ে জ্বলে
      তোমার প্রাণের নিশীথ রাতের
            অন্ধকারের গভীর তলে।
তপস্বিনী, তোমার তপের শিখাগুলি
      হঠাৎ যদি জাগিয়ে তুলি,
তবে যে সেই দীপ্ত আলোয় আড়াল টুটে
      দৈন্য আমার উঠিবে ফুটে।
হবি হবে তোমার প্রেমের হোমাগ্নিতে
      এমন কী মোর আছে দিতে।
তাই তো আমি বলি তোমায় নতশিরে--
      তোমার দেখার স্মৃতি নিয়ে
            একলা আমি যাব ফিরে।
