কোন্‌ বরতা পাঠালে মোর পরানে
আজি তোমার অরুণ-আলোয় কে জানে।
        বাণী তোমার ধরে না মোর গগনে,
        পাতায় পাতায় কাঁপে হৃদয়-কাননে,
             বাণী তোমার ফোটে লতাবিতানে।
তোমার বাণী বাতাসে সুর লাগালো,
নদীতে মোর ঢেউয়ের মাতন জাগালো।
         তরী আমার আজ প্রভাতের আলোকে
         এই বাতাসে পাল তুলে দিক পুলকে,
              তোমার পানে যাক সে ভেসে উজানে।

THIS LIFE is the crossing of a sea, where we meet in the same narrow ship.
In death we reach the shore and go to our different worlds.

I THANK thee that I am none of the wheels of power but I am one with the living creatures that are crushed by it.
